ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —New Mexico’s first escape room opened last weekend.

Organizers are offering an hour-long adventure for small groups. Here’s the way it works: A small group is locked in a room together and must find clues, solve puzzles and decode messages to get out.

Right now, Albuquerque resident can check out what they call the Blood Map. It’s a Victorian-themed room with a mystery involving Wild West outlaw Jesse James.

The escape room is located on Carlisle just north of Comanche
